Hutridurga – A Hidden Gem of History and Hills.
Nestled in the Tumkur district of Karnataka, Hutridurga is a scenic hill fort that offers a perfect blend of history, adventure, and natural beauty. Rising to about 3,700 feet above sea level, this ancient fortified hill is one of the nine "Durgas" (fortresses) built by Kempegowda, the founder of Bengaluru. Hutridurga holds deep historical significance, with remnants of fort walls, watch towers, and temples that date back to the 16th century.
A popular destination for trekking enthusiasts, the trail to the summit is moderately challenging and offers panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. Along the way, trekkers encounter stone gateways, old ruins, and the peaceful Shankareshwara Temple at the top, dedicated to Lord Shiva.

- Pitch the Tents ( Group Activities)

- Dinner by 08:00 PM
- Camp Fire and Music and goto sleep by 10:00 PM
- Getup by 04:00 AM and Freshup
- Have the cup of Tea and start to trek by 04:30 AM
- Reach to summit by 06:30 AM
- Start heading to Down by 07:30 AM
- Reach to base camp by 10:00 AM
- Have breakfast Idli and Vada
- Start heading to Bengaluru at 11:30 AM
- Head back and Bangalore and drop by reach at ~01:00 pm

- Wearing the Full Sleeve hiking pants and Hiking T-Shirts would be preferable (Not mandatory )

- To and fro transport from Bangalore ( Non A/c Tempo Traveler/Mini bus )
- 1 Tea breaks, 1Dinner, 1Breakfast
- Trekking Permits

- Any expenses arising out of unforeseen contingencies
- Event Starts at 05:00 pm (Previous Day) and Ends at 02:00 pm (Next day)

PLEASE NOTE:
- WIC is not a NGO but a voluntary organization and everyone is expected to indulge in whatever tasks that arrive during the event.
- WIC treks are full of adventures, such as indulge in Navigation, Map reading, Trial finding, Camp setting, Cooking, Building camp fire, etc...
- As it takes lots of time and patience of WIC to make the Trek/Trip takes easily. Hence once registered then it money will not refunded.
- If the trek is cancelled by organizer then full amount will be paid back.
- First pay and then register to be considered for short listing. Short listing will be based on the trekking experience, volunteering preference and organizers feedback of the previous events with WIC if any. Confirmation is at organizers discretion. Paid participants will get full refund if not shortlisted.
We request you to go through the below Rules/ Instructions/Measures and follow them strictly. If you or your pavilion rider can’t obey the rules please do not come for the ride.
